Music Ministry

Join together in song, under the talented direction of our choir director, Linda Orseck. Rehearsals on Wednesday evenings, 7pm in the Choir Loft of St. Paul Church. Sing at 10:00 am Sunday Mass, as your schedule allows. Contact the choir director at mgeda@stpaulscranton.org

 

Rose Society

Eucharistic Adoration

Weekdays from 9:00AM to 4:00PM at St. Clare Church. The Blessed Sacrament is exposed and adored by volunteers who sign up for one hour or more to pray before the Lord Jesus present in the Monstrance.  For winter weather closings, we follow the schedule of the Scranton and Dunmore school districts.  Please contact the office at 570-961-1549 if you have questions about adoration. Adoration is only open on Friday's during the winter months.

Finance Council

Advises the Pastor on financial matters of the parish and school. Responsible for monitoring all income and expenses, and approving the annual budgets.  For more information, or if you are interested in joining, contact pwilson@stpaulscranton.org , our Parish Finance Manager.

Offertory Counters

A group that counts the funds collected at Mass each week. For more information, Contact PWilson@stpaulscranton.org

Parish Pastoral Council

The PPC is involved in most activities and programs effecting the liturgical and spiritual life of St. Paul Parish. If you would like to be considered for the council, please contact JEvans@stpaulscranton.org

Senior Altar Server

Men and women who assist at Mass or Funeral masses to enhance the worship of our faith community. We are always in search of more acolytes for this very important ministry.  Please contact Lolita Salmon at LSalmon@stpaulscranton.org

Stations of the Cross

Held Friday evenings at 5:30 PM in Saint Paul Church during lent.  School children of St. Clare/St. Paul School also host stations, 8 am at the primary campus (St Clare Church) and 1:30 pm at the main campus (St Paul Church). If the school is closed, school hosted stations are cancelled. 

Usher

Volunteers who assist people to their seat if necessary. They also take up the collection. Contact Jeanne Evans at JEvans@stpaulscranton.org if you are interested.

Altar Server

Boys and girls from grade 4 and above who assist the priest at the liturgy. For more information, please contact JEvans@stpaulscranton.org

Baptism Preparation

Preparing parents for the formation of their child’s faith.  All first time parents need to attend a class before baptism.  Please contact LSalmon@stpaulscranton.org

Eucharistic Minister

Extraordinary Ministers of Communion who serve the Body and Blood of Christ at Mass and to the sick and homebound. Contact JEvans@stpaulscranton.org

RCIA

Food Pantry

Servicing our local community.  All clients need to be registered with proof of need.  Our Food Pantry is located at St. Clare Church, in the basement, a.k.a. the Parish Center.  The pantry is open on Fridays during the summer from 12:00 pm to 1:30pm.  During our school year, the pantry is open 3:00pm to 4:30 pm. Ministers to the Homebound

Trained lay visitors who visit disabled, homebound or a resident of assisted living or nursing home.  We visit once a month with Communion and a smiling face.   Contact JEvans@stpaulscranton.org.
