Religious Education

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION - 2016 -2017 - We have sent out the registration packet to all children in our database who received instruction last year. Religious education for public school students will be held on Sunday's during the school year.  It provides the support, education and faith development for our children in public schools from 1st through 8th grade.  Classes are held in St. Clare/St. Paul School Main Campus (Penn Ave., Scranton).  Students in grades 1-8 will meet from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.

A registration mailing is sent to all prospective students in our database at the end of each summer.  Volunteers are the core of our program.  If you wish to help serve as a teacher or aide, please contact Ann Conway at   If school is not in session, or dismissed early, there will be no CCD.  Please call the rectory at 570-961-1549 if you have questions.

R.C.I.A. CHILDREN'S DISMISSAL FOR LITURGY OF THE WORD - Liturgy of the Word for Children is a weekly program offered at our 10:00 a.m. mass for children ages 4-8 who are released to a seperate space to break open the Word of God. Children are dismissed from Mass after the opening prayer and return during the offertory hymn.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL - VBS is offered for one week during the summer. Children gather each morning to share the daily bible story, sing, play sports and games, make arts and crafts.  Volunteers are always needed.
